I had a great time in California. I met some long-time collectors and had several fantastic culinary experiences.
The show has been received very well, but now I have to seriously start thinking about what comes next — both exciting and intimidating at the same time. But I feel confident and up to the task. I just need to focus, lock myself in the studio for about 6 months and paint, paint, paint.
Hey Chris – Congratulations on a REALLY impressive show. I love the wonderful variety of subjects and compositions. You’ve outdone yourself. I would love to be there and immerse myself in these images. Great Job!
Thank you very much, sir! I appreciate it!
Found you through someone’s Twitter post. Your work is absolutely beautiful. 🙂
Wow that is great. Love your work!
I just hung my first solo show and am just starting to think I could get back to work after two months (I did go on a 3 week holiday in there) How do you get yourself refocused?

To focus I have to lock myself in the studio, shut off all the noisy media, and start painting. I have notes and sketches that have to be rediscovered and investigated to see if there’s anything there worth turning in to a painting… or a series.
It’s hard to focus over the summer (the brief, Canadian summer) and I find myself looking forward to weather that is easier to go in to lock-down mode in.
Great Scott!Your work is amazing,so realistic especially with the knowledge that its actually a painting.
Your work is so fun! I bet the subject would look great huge, too! like a mural even. oh, fun!
